||What are the elements of a picture? What defines a medium? Are some structures of representation more vital than others?
These questions will be considered in the presentation of the triangulation as a digital painting medium. It turns out the triangulation structure allows for novel modes of physical-like painting but also for more unexpected possibilities such as rules to generate complex dynamic patterns. In the core of all this is an algorithm for contour preserving triangulation which in its description will benefit from the broader philosophical perspective being a theme of this talk.
